Days in fall.

There are endless number of interesting shapes and textures found in nature.  I'm always looking and looking closely if something catches my eyes.  They are great source of inspiration for things I make.

My husband and I like to go for walks and bring home souvenirs.  During fall, we collect fallen leaves and branches.  On our recent walk in Brooklyn Botanical Garden, we collected some seedpods from wisteria trees.  They were sage green in color with downy surface.  After spending a few days on my desk, these pods suddenly opened with a loud "Pop!".
Fuzzy ball is also some kind of seeds collected from Cobble Hill section of Brooklyn. Juxtaposing these two kinds of seed made an interesting composition.
